Prepping your mini for Priming
In prepping minis a whole line of tools are useful first come removing mold lines and flashing, the cutter and exacto blade are useful for this. Pic one and two. If you have bent weapons that are being difficult in being straightened the pliers in the first pic are good tool to use to try to get those extra bent swords straight.
Then in removing mold lines simple sanding twigs that you can find at hobby lobby are great for the hard to reach areas you can split the twig and get a thin strip to get in between those hard to reach areas.
Superglue is used for gluing multipart models into place. Greenstuff is Great for filling cracks and when putting larger models together will help the superglue in getting those heavy pieces to stick together. It can also be used for sculpting on detail and to convert the model.
Then I fill up a bowl of warm water with some dish soap. I use an electric tooth brush to clean of dirt and pewter dust. In the casting process there's a small amount of grime left on the mini you want to clean of. After a good scrub your mini is ready to dry for the priming. Let the mini Dry for a good 12 hours to make sure there's no moisture left on the mini, any moisture would ruin the priming job.
